So the unthinkable happened, my credit card, gym card, and ID cards have cracked under the SBL Mid Bi-fold wallet.
I am just thankful that my credit card and ID cards havent snapped and only begun to crack, my gym card is completely gone however.
These are pretty serious issues, and quite frankly I nearly thought about giving up on Saddleback.
I was considering posting my wallet for sale and just buying a new wallet from elsewhere but... I seriously couldn't get over it. I cannot carry a damn pos designer wallet again, those things are complete junk.
I wanted a saddleback wallet or something to carry my stuff in even if it meant having to take a loss on a defective design.
I hold great respect to those who overbuild things because of their passion for their business, even as cuckoo as Dave (owner) may seem.
Here lies a predicament: I didn't buy this wallet, I received it from a member on another forum.
So I figured I'd call Saddleback and see what can be done before selling my wallet and getting something else.
I was honestly expecting to hear: Sorry to hear that, there is nothing we can do, stack many cards to avoid them breaking.
Nope. Instead a nice lady answered my call and informed me they had gotten reports of the wallet breaking cards so they could: Issue a credit towards another wallet or product, or send a replacement wallet (Med).
I opted to get the large wallet (small is too small, and large is too large so I'd rather have too much than not enough), and have received authorization plus a prepaid label to ship mine to them. I will also purchase a wallet card sleeve for my sister, may as well take advantage of the shipping.
Overall I am impressed by the service, even though I don't have an order number or receipt they were willing to work with me.
Will post back on how the return, and replacement goes.
