I've been in need of a new wallet for quite some time and I hear nothing but good things about these. I think I want to try the small ID one. I know I want to downsize from a full size one and have been thinking about this or a money clip of some kind. My question is though do they stretch out and not hold cards and what not as secure? Like lets say I have five cards in it for a while but end up with only two or even one will it still hold them securely or will it be stretched out and they will fall out.

No, it will still be a pretty tight fit. I have had three cards and downsized to one, and it still holds very well. I'm really hard on wallets, so that's why i invested in a medium bifold from saddleback. The stitching is still perfect, the wallet looks almost new (some worn, but a patina kind of warn), and the inside is still mint. Very tank like wallet (quality wise). The customer service is top notch as well. My first wallet i bought broke my cards, so they sent a second one thinking it was a fluke. Well, that one broke cards as well. So they went back to the drawing board after that time, i guess a few people had issues. They came up with a new design and sent me out the new design plus a small bifold as well as a "sorry". Above and beyond. I do a lot of motor vehicle work, fishing, hiking, biking and so on with it in my pocket, it's comfortable and it has no sign of giving up.

Thanks for the input. Now I just need to figure out which color and wallet to get. I like the idea of downsizing but then I worry about not fitting in everything I need into it. Maybe I'll have to get two styles.

I have the dark coffee brown and i like it. it's like a mix between milk and dark chocolate brown. Kind of like the UPS truck.

I have the full-size bifold wallet and it is simply the best wallet I HAVE EVER CARRIED. After 3 years (or more ) of hard use, it still is as good as new. It has a little sweat patina since it is a lighter color but, I like the character it has earned with hard use. This wallet will likely last me decades. I'd buy another without hesitation if I needed to.

Mine is a tight fit for 3 cards in each of the 4 card "pockets". If I need more than 12 store loyalty, medical insurance, or identity cards (why won't they accept a US Passport for proof of citizenship :mad::grumpy:) for access to ..... grumble, grumble, grumble [/rant mode off]

Devils advocate I have a nice tumi available if you would like to trade for something. Its the slim card case model with Id. I would still use it except I have a similar one by coach that has a money clip.

They hold up well, have an excellent warranty and are a very good value in the long run. That being said I have a hand stitched wallet of American Horween Chromecxel leather with horsehide lining made by an American craftsman that beats anything made on an assembly line in Mexico of lesser materials but, as you might expect, cost more.

Im also looking at these wallets.

ive been given an italian wallet and I think their design is ugly (popular with purse snobs), however I will say that since ive had it (probably almost 8 years) it has shown little wear.

im just tired of its looks.

saddleback seems to be a new desire in my wallet choice.

I have one, it's been with me for almost 2.5 years.
3 bank cards
1 driver's license
7 bills
1 rechargeable gift card for a coffee shop
1 health insurance card
3 business cards

Holds it all and is still slim. If you remove mot of the cards, it still holds remaining items snugly.

Have had the ID wallet for 3 mos. It holds 5 cards, drivers license, and about 20 bills. Super thick and tough, I doubt it's going to
stretch much. Definitely not soft and buttery, but that's fine w/me. Good price pt @ 30 bucks.

Guess the CS got better sense I had my very bad experience with them.

The customer service is second to none in my experience... I completely jacked up an order last year and they handled the whole thing without question.

I've got several saddleback pieces including wallets. If it means anything to you, in June, I dropped my wallet on the Jobsite. It was picked up by a track hoe, dumped in a spoils pile for a few days until I just happened to notice it as they were loading up the dump truck. After all that, my vehicle registrations and cards stayed inside an only 3 stitches in the corner were damaged.

Worth every penny.

Saddleback Customer Service is excellent. They are quick to answer emails, and in a very personal manner, which is a nice touch. Some of their designs though, I don't much care for. I have the medium bifold. The wallet is hugely thick, even without anything in it, it puts you at risk for damaging your sciatic nerve.

Look at All-Ett for slim wallets. They began with all-nylon construction and their original large bifold will cut your wallet thickness by more than half. They have slim leather versions now also.

I have been using their sailcloth International Wallet for years now, and it is thinner filled than most of my wallets were empty.

I use a Maxpedition Spartan (I think that's the model) and I like it.

My father uses a Big Skinny wallet, and he loves it. For years he was a leather only kind of guy, and he would always end up with a small brick in his back pocket. But, he loves how compact the Big Skinny is.
