SAFARI SKINNER (sheath shown not included) - Released 2004 / RFP 2005
MIKE THOUROT COLLABORATION

The Safari Skinner entered the Swamp Rat family as the second offering in the "Through The Hands Of The Master" series. Master Knifemaker, Mike Thourot, has designed the "Safari Skinner" to be an excellent choice for an everyday carry knife as well as an efficient skinner for the hunter. Made from D-2 tool steel and coupled with the toughness and durability of full tang construction and canvas Micarta handles, the Safari Skinner will quickly become one of your favourite blades.

*Update: This D2 model was removed from production (RFP) in 2005

I don't know if this helps any, but here's one next to a HRLM and a Ratmandu.

Alas no. I had two at one time, but I sold one of them. The other rides in my hunting pack.

Confused here, but I thought he was asking about the SR-101 version, not the original D-2 Mike Thourot. Nice to see all these beauties here, though.
The blade is 4' from micarta to tip,3.25" actual cutting edge on the SR-101 version.
It is 3/16" stock with a distal taper. Flat ground.
So,overall,it appears quite thin,nice cutter/slicer profile.
thanks,
Alex
