safe to use motocross chain cleaner on pivot?

Hey guys,
I am very new to this forum and this is actually my first post. I've been doing quite a bit of research on different lubes for the pivot of my folding knives and rust protection on all of my knives. I've been looking into ballistol, tuf-glide, clp, and some others. Anyway, to my question, would it be safe to use dirt bike chain cleaner such as the one below on the pivot of my folders before applying any of the lubes? What I'm a little concerned about is that it may do a little damage on the handle? I'm pretty sure it would be ok to use but it's better to be safe than sorry. Thanks!

It should be fine on pretty much all synthetic handle materals out there....there is a small chance that it could stain micarta though, you should be fine just as long as the knife doesn't have any natural martials on it (jigged bone wood ect)
