I just wanted to wish all of you that are able to make it to the konvention, A SAFE TRIP!! Some day I would like to make it to one of these meetings aand meet personally all of you great folks. Until then I will talk with you through here. Take Care All and GOD BLESS!

I second the good wishes from Maine!

I too would love to be there, but I will be in spirit.

:)

On the road again....:D :D :D
Sorry, I had to say it!

I am really looking forward to all the big shiny things whether they slice, dice, chop, cut, or just go bang.

See yall there, my prayers are with all of you.

I hope you guy's have a great time, I know we all need a little r&r about now.

save some deals for those not able to attend:D

Khujkuris, Kumar Karda or 2, JKM's or 2, some kagas katnes, some Jolas, got my pick:), and a couple of t-shirts that probablt aren'
2xx or 3xxx so someone else will get their choice of them.
Oh and some Topis as well.:D

The HI care pack! At this convention your credit is good and I don't want to take anything back so prices will be VERY attractive -- so have a little room left for carry home stuff.

...a safe visit (no tripping over the Khuk table while balancing plates, saucers and potables)......also hope you've given up on taking the cannon down to the river...no telling who might show up after that went off:eek:

Chris if you guys get in before midnight we have the tent set up. It's 3 rooms, all seperate and with their own doors.
Y'all are welcome to stay here both nights ifen ya wanna.:)

And if anyone else makes it before midnight we also have the Sweatlodge that can be used to sleep in. I won't guarantee what kinds of dreams you may have in there, but they could possibley be quite interesting. hehehehe

Have fun, be safe and take pics. I am going to make one of these things someday or else I'll have to host one myself.

Now that Bro has moved up town with that new super computer and scanning gear we may get more pix than we want. I'm known to do strange things after a dozen bottles of Heineken and if I know Bro the way I think I do there's nothing he'd rather do than get a couple of shots of poor old Uncle in his cups.

SNIFF, all THOSE k'S! sniff! Well Blues is hurting too!Guys & Ladies
keep Blues & are Troops in your thoughts & prayers while you are there!Have fun!NDN,another time & place!

Bill,
Blues I'm sure is busy,so I'll respond for us both! WE both like the idea of turning a glass down for us,we are there in spirit! When you turn "one" down for "Blues" please remember him in prayer! For those that don't keep up, he's in law enforcement & def. "a good guy"!

Everyone have fun and be safe! Remember Harry's safety post :)

Someone drink a beer for me as I won't be able to do so for myself.

Alan

Uncle Bill didn't drink all the Heineken I bought for him the last time he and Yangdu were here for a while and over night.
(He's gonna get to finish it up this time, maybe.;))
Uncle Bill's just remembering his younger days when he, like me and so many of us, used to be able to really put it away.
Besides everyone's gonna kinda watch themselves since we have womenfolk and kiddies around.:D

I only missed work one time back in my over-imbiding days. I woke up out on the Morongo Rez one morning, a Sunday, stuck in the sand in a dry wash with an old Datsun pick-em-up truck.
My head was as big as one a the tires was round and my mouth felt like the Bird of Hell flew over and dumped in it.
I never did inquire as to the source of the water that was running over the desert sand in a small trickle:barf: and I still don't wanna know. I do know that it dayumed sure didn't come from the natural spring that was a little further down the edge of the hill.
The Big Problem was the silver dollar size hernia I had on my lower right side that had popped out when I had the dry heaves.
Fortunately I was in good enough shape that I was able to get rid of it by uping my exercise regimen. And that's also the last time I weighed 175 pounds with a 30" waist.
Now I would settle for 225 Pounds and a 34" waist.:)
I've been sicker and more miseable since that time, but dayumed sure not from drinkin a fifth of Wild Turkey, the good stuff(?) that was older and more powerful than the young 8 year old(?) whisky.

Another time was way before that when the mother of my kids and me split up, 1965. I drank a whole pint of Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey in about an hour that night, wonder I didn't die from alcohol poisioning that time. But I got over it and her too and have been Much Better Off since!!!!:)

I'm sure glad I have enough European Blood that helped to control the dieing urge to have a drink and then follow through on it. I finally learned to control that urge and have drank responsiblely since 1987, although there have been no escapades like the first ones since 1977, the Rez episode and another woman.
I never thought I would live near this long and besides that I set out to prove correct all the family that said I would never amount to nothing and that I would come to a bad end.
I figgered if I had the name I had just as well play the game.:(

Now I just set back and enjoy a nice highball tumbler of really good scotch whiskey and water on the rocks about once every month or so, sometimes 3 months in between.
But I can remember those good, bad old days.;)
And who-ed ever thought that I would end up a very respected old ndn Elder with lots of relatives that truly love me as well as the most wonderful lady in the world for me.
Life has never been better in spite of all the health concerns!!!!!!!:D

Yvsa, wondering where all that came from.;)
