You need a rod sharpener, the kind used on serrated blades.

You need a sharpener with a thin profile, examples may be the spyderco sharpmaker, lansky turnbox crock sticks, or even sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel.

the day after i posted this i had to use it a female tried to hang herself. its still very sharp but other officers have used theirs for all purpose cutting and need to be sharpened.
