Saga of the Spyderco Scales part. 2 - I have screwed two different scales together, neither will give up the tube.

EDIT: I saved it! I screwed two parts of my knife together and neither wanted to give up the backspacer tube. Now, I still have one tube on the wrong scale. Any tips on how to get it to the right scale?

I need to get that backspacer-tube off, or onto the correct scale.

I did it! But there is blade play. This is the ONLY comp lock I have with blade play - could it be washers or liner placement? I just want to be able to fix this, make it perfect.

Make sure the pivot is seated all the way into both liners.

Loosen the pivot and the stop pin screw and stand off screws. Make sure everything is seated all the way into the liners properly. Tighten everything starting at the pivot and work your way down.

Screw the Pivot tight until the blade barely moves, then loosen a 1/8 - 1/4 turn.

Don't over-tighten the standoff.
