Sage 1 or Sage 2?

Can i get some thoughts on the different sage models? I'm torn between the 2. I'm planning for this one to be a user, it'll probably sit in my pocket more days than not.

Also, does anyone have any other spyderco suggestions? I find my delica to be an extraordinarily functional blade and end up using it a ton even though it's not one of my favorites. I'm looking for another spyderco to replace it. I want something about the same size (2.5 - 3.2 inch blade) but with better ergonomics (the delica just doesn't fit right in my hand (my middle finger always ends up resting on the first 'bump')) and a handle that doesn't look/feel so cheap to me.

Thanks!

I highly recommend the Spyderco Sage series... great design for EDC! Can't go wrong with any of 'em, but I think the carbon fibre Sage 1 is the best looking of the bunch. I'll probably pick up a Sage 2 as well at some point though.

ETA: If you like the Delica, try a Centofante 3. Less 'sculpting' on the handle which might make it more comfortable for you. Heck of a slicer and it's around the same price as a Delica!

I love both my 1 and 2. I seem to carry my 2 more though. The 1 is smoother, lighter, and has better traction. The 2 is thinner and well titanium. I think the corners on the 2 are more contoured as well. Its a tough choice. I give the edge to the sage 2.

If you're speaking about ergonomics and Delica, I have to mention the Stretch.

Once you get over the strange aesthetics of the blade-shape, it's a superb knife.

I've owned both the Sage 1 and 2 and I prefer the Sage 1. It's just so smooth

Sage 1 & 2 are both amazing knives. Sage 1 has the beautiful carbon fiber with a nice solid liner lock. The sage 2 in my opinion is like an inexpensive version of the crk sebenza, its fit and finish is almost on par with the sebby.

I lean toward the sage 1 just because i love the carbon fiber and dont mind the liner lock as i am not going to be prying or doing very hard tasks with any sage. Its perfect imo.

Some people just love the ti frame locks and in that case go for the sage2.

I'm getting the sage 2! I ended up trading my sebenza for it and i'm probably getting rid of my zt 0550 so it will be my only Ti framelock. I remember when i was first getting into knife collecting i really wanted a sage 2. I ended up handling it at a show along with a bunch of other other spydercos and deciding on the gayle bradley instead. Well, the GB didn't work out for me (too much knife to carry around all the time and the grind didn't really do it for me) but hopefully the sage will be perfect.
