Hello everyone!

Even I am moving away from most locking knives, I decided to leave few and get some quality ones, keeping modern locking knives around 5 pieces. Now I got recently Spyderco Bob Terzuola slipit and I love it!! I really like hollow ground S30V and Carbon Fibre and I want one of my locking knives to have Carbon Fibre.

I am thinking Sage 1, looking bit like Caly 3 series and having similar measurements. Deep riding pocket clip. S30V Flat ground, will be a great blade what I've heard.

Then there's Spyderco Michael Walker. Smaller knife but with mean hollow ground ZDP-189 steel and carbon fibre handles. Both cost exact same here. Which are pro's and con's of both knives? Which would you choose for classy EDC knife in urban and semi-rural area?

I am looking mostly light weigh, dependable knife that can do anything you can imagine in urban area and minor whittling if necessary.

My favourite modern folders are: Spyderco UKPK, Bob Terzuola Slipit and BM Ritter Mini-Grip.

Thanks for help in advance.

If weight is a big factor then that Walker is light! Some folks like the usability of the Walker but say it's a bit "odd" looking. Others like the FFG of the Sage and the design. Both have that pretty CF and are made in the same factory right? F&F doesn't seem a problem. Which one would you grab on a "Free, take one" table?

Steve, I'd probably grap the one which is closer. I am perhaps leaning tad toward Michael Walker due its ZDP-189 and I don't have any ZDP-189 blades...
