The postman brought it today. What can I say?
The Sage 2 is minimalist design at its best. This knife belongs in MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). It has everything a good knife should have and nothing that it shouldn't. It is a pure example of form follows function. I love it!
The whole thing is held together by three screws! There are really no parts to break. No little springs to repair. Open construction allows for easy cleaning. And of course, it's super sharp and the FFG blade is a great slicer. It's simple, elegant, and functional.
It has taken the best elements of the Native and the Caly 3 and made them better. The ergonomics are better than either of those two knives, imo. It walks and talks as well or better than any knife I have. The RIL frame lock is sure and smooth.
I don't own a Sebenza, but out of all the knives I own if I could only have one folding knife I think this might be it.
and with the Native and Caly 3 for comparison.
If you don't already have one, get one. You won't regret it.
