I am trying to decide between sage 1 and 2. I'm a big TI fan so the sage 2 is very appealing and has great reviews. However i don't know if they treat the lock bar at all and i'm concerned about long term wear. Does anyone have any long time experience with the sage 2 or info on lock bar treatment, if any?
Thanks.

My lockbar got easier/smoother to use after time. Hasn't failed me yet. (owned for around a year)

Thanks gis. Have you noticed if lock up has gotten later with a year of wear? I've heard the lock up starts off pretty early, 30-40% and quickly wears to 70-80%. Just concerned about developing lock rock early on.

I don't own a Sage 2, but I have two other Spyderco titanium framelocks. Both of mine have treated lock faces, so I'm pretty sure the Sage does as well. They've been holding up great. I've heard good things about the long term durability of the Sage 2.

I've been carrying mine allot over the last several months using it for all kinds of cutting tasks. I don't treat it as a hard use knife BUT I don't baby it either. I have not noticed any indication of impending failure, loosening, play, etc. I liked this knife when I first bought it and like it even more today. I did a review here if it helps.

I didn't embrace the Sage 2 when I first bought one, so I got rid of it.
I kind of want to try it again and see if my tastes have changed!
I do recall reading a post where Sal said he would fix any wear problems.
So purchase away!:D
