Sage 2 vs Techno vs Slysz Bowie

I recently got my first Spyderco, a Sage 2, and I love it. I've been scoping out their other products and the Techno and Slysz Bowie both look awesome. Anybody happen to own all 3 and can give any thoughts about them? They seem sort of similar in many ways. Should I save my hundreds of dollars and be happy with my Sage 2? Does anybody know how long the Techno or Bowie might be available? If I dither on buying one will I wake up one day soon and find they have been discontinued and the price just jumped up?

I've had a Sage 2 for a while now and have wanted a Techno since they came out. Recently (finally) ended up buying one and I love it. I can't say much for the Slysz Bowie, besides that I love Marcin Slysz's designs and that given the look of the knife and my experience with the Techno, I want one. If you typically like bigger knives, you may like the Bowie better. Personally, I love the Techno and don't see it getting knocked off the podium by the Bowie if/when I get one.

As for the Sage 2 vs the Techno, they are very different knives (As is the Bowie). The Sage 2 is honestly a more practical EDC knife, with a slimmer profile, slimmer and better slicing blade, quicker opening, and better ergonomics. It also feels noticeably lighter, even though it is only .1 oz lighter, probably because the overall size makes it feel less "dense". That said, to me the Techno feels like a more special knife. Although the fit and finish on both is perfect, the Techno's design feels different and refreshing; the thicker blade, blue backspacer, and details in the design just make it feel different than other knives, in a refreshing way. From my experience with the Chaparral, I can say that steel is also nicer and will hold an edge better than the Sage.

I don't know that I would want to pick between having one or the other. They are both excellent knifes and both are among my favorite knives that I own. I don't really have a list, but I would say they are both top 10 (probably 8 of those 10 are Spydercos. I would keep riding the Spyderco train if I were you, they make tons of excellent knives).

I don't see the price on the Bowie going up, but it might go up on the Techno. As for being discontinued, you never know with collaboration knives. The Bowie just came out a couple months ago, but depending on how it's selling, it could be gone by the end of the year. If you want to get either of the Slysz knives, I wouldn't hold off.

I don't own a Sage 2 or the Bowie (I own a Sage I if that counts) but I do own a Techno. It is simply awesome. Fit and finish are perfect. Easy to carry, it feels well made and stout. Kind of like having Thor's Hammer in your pocket. The blade is short but it's very useful and up to any task.

In my opinion, and I love Spyderco knives, the Techno is the best knife they have ever made.

The Techno and the Slysz Bowie are both just absolutely incredible knives. The craftmanship. Fit and finish. Aesthetics. Materials. Two of my favorite Spydies for certain.
