wondering if on the S3 the liners can be pulled apart, in other words can the "studs" you use to unlock the blade be removed from the bar? thanks

The finger stud on the 3 is integral with the plate behind it. The projection on the back of the plate that goes into the hole in the bolt could either be threaded or just a friction fit. Friction fit makes more sense to me, since the plate has to align with a recess in the scales, but that's just a somewhat educated guess. I'm still hoping whoever took the photo, or someone else who has actually disassembled one, will see this tread and chime in.I can't see how that finger stud is/was attached to the bar.
