I did a search and didn't find much talk about the Sage 4. I must admit that I've been off my Spyderco game for a minute. I could have sworn I saw a picture of the Sage 4 at some point though. I think it was bolstered with a mid-lock? Is that right? Anyway, I was just wondering if they ever hit the street and if they haven't, if there's any word on when that may be happening?

They've been released and you're right, mid lock with bolsters. I believe the scale material is a type of wood.

Ti bolster, with desert ironwood. It's a beautiful knife.

Someone will be along soon with pics.

I don't have one, but word on the street is that it is the smoothest and most refined one yet. The Arizona Ironwood is amazing, I have a kitchen knife with Ironwood handles, very tough and beautiful material. I am definitely getting one of those.

I bought one and it was the only Spyderco I have ever returned. It's a nice knife but rather heavy, and I didn't love the look of the ironwood. I think if I had come to it from years of carrying bolstered lockback knives (which tend to be relatively heavy) rather than lighter liner lock and compression lock knives, I would have liked it, but it wasn't for me. I LOVE Spyderco but thus far haven't been thrilled with most of their more traditional gentleman's folders (though I do love my CF Kiwi).

What a beauty. I need to get one of these. How long have they been out for. I have not seen one of these on the secondary market yet. I guess I'll have to see where I can buy one.

Thanks for the info guys. Gotta keep the Sage collection up to date.
