Sage; Delica; Caly 3

I'm hopeful that my Caly 3 will arrive today. I'm quite excited about this knife...it will be my first smaller Spyderco (not counting the Persistance).

I spent a good bit of time going through the picture thread hoping to see a side by side of a Caly 3, Sage, & Delica IV. No luck.

If anyone has a picture of these three laid out together, I'd very much like to see it. I keep looking at the Sage II and thinking...I NEED that.

Did you get a CF Caly? Some folks don't like the lack of texture (maybe due to a safety concern?), but I have one and have found that to be a non-issue. I love mine. Let us know what you think of it when you get it. Also, don't be surprised if your desire for other Spydie blades tapers off a little after you get it. I've got a Stretch inbound, but I'm wondering if I will still prefer my Caly.

When Spyderco releases the Mar/McBurnette mid-lock version of the Sage, it wiill be the best 3" folder on the planet.

Hope you don't mind, I included my personal choice for the best knife Spyderco has ever built as welll.

The Caly 3 got here today. It is smaller than I pictured but that's OK. I was shooting for a smaller knife. All my other Spyderco's are big honkers.

Its a G10 knife which I believe I like Spyderco G10 better than the CF on my Manix II. I don't know about the smoother CF that some knives have.

In any case, my first take on the Caly 3 is that it's an impressive little knife. More after I've carried is some.

the only drawback for me with the Sage is the liner lock. i really like the lockback on the CalyIII , personal preference.
Spyderco makes a great lockback

the Carbon fiber is sweet.
the G10 version is all good
you made a good choice.
some guys don't care for the Caly because of its size, , for me it is a perfect edc.

Stretch CF!!!! sweetness...

I've been lucky and have collected all those on The Deacon's last pic. Nothing outdoes the Stretch CF, but the Manix 2 S90V and Sage/Sage2 are a close second on the Spydie front. Those last two are like the beauty and the beast!
