Sage II verses the Manix 2 Black Blade

I am giving away my two Griptilian knives as Christmas gifts.
I have one Spyderco Sage II and I like it a lot.
I think I am going to purchase a Spyderco Manix2 Black G-10 handles and a DLC (diamond like coated) black blade.
Is there another mid sized Spyderco knife that I should try besides the Manix 2?
It could be just a little bit longer.
Thanks for the help.

I'm sure you've probably seen the pm2. Awesome knife. Might also check out the stretch. Another great spyderco. Little different blade shape than the manix 2 but an awesome cutter.

I have seen the PM2 nice knife. I like the ball bearing lock up and frame lock over the compression lock. The Delica 4 Titanium Damascus, that would be my choice if it was a little bit larger. I placed an order on the Spyderco Manix 2 Black Blade. It says I will have it right after Christmas. Where I bought it they have a free return policy if it is not the knife for me.
Thanks for the info on the Stretch. That is not a knife I looked at before.

The Paramilitary 2 is one of the best mid-sized Spyderco models, probably the most popular. It is a bit longer than the Manix 2.

I have both models in my EDC rotation. I like the Manix 2 better for a working knife but the Paramilitary 2 better for EDC.

You can see the size comparison in this photo. The other knife is a Spyderco Tenacious, another mid-sized knife that Spyderco makes. It costs a lot less than the other two but is not quite as good as they are.

I received the Manix II with the DLC blade and love it. It does have some weight and I like it. Now my two carry knives are the Manix II and the Sage II. Great knives, I do not miss the Benchmades, They made great gifts to my brother and brother in law.

You could give the Manix 2XL a go. However, it may actually be too big but worth a shot if you really like the feel and look of the Manix 2.
