I just got a Sage II,& all I can say is WOW!

I like Ti framelocks(RIL's),& collect mostly CRK's & customs. The fit & finish on this is on par with the best of them, not to mention it's one of the sharpest knives I've ever received out of the box.

I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these.I'll admit,I was a little put off by the "made in Taiwan" thing, but that's just me,& it's pretty stupid to think that way IMO,& I wish I didn't.I mean,It's still made by Spyderco after all. This is well worth the <$150 price tag,& then some.

Here's a pic with some of my other frame-locks:

It is a nice knife for sure. It hasn't left my pocket since I got mine oh about 8 months ago or so. I really really like it. My Ti Military should be here tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that too.

I agree with you 100% - it's a keeper regardless of who you compare it to.

I concur! I had one, and sold it. Bad move.

I just got a new one last week, and it isn't going anywhere. Great design and execution, then factor in the price.

HOME RUN!

Love my Sage II as it gets most of my pocket carry... I am planning on doing some dehorning of the edges on the top of the blade though and around the thumb hole.. it's quite sharp.

That BM635 had me thinking it was a Gayle Bradley there for a sec with that grind. Nice!

The Sage II rocks. The "look for the union label" crowd is missing out on what is quite possibly the premier knife bargain on the planet. You are getting premium blade steel with Spyderco's top shelf heat treatment. You are getting the wire clip which is the best thing to happen to pocket clips since, well, the pocket clip. You are getting PB washers, smooth action, Spydie opening hole, titan scales, well executed frame lock, open spine for easy water flush rinse. You are getting a wicked sharp factory edge with thin bevels that's a snap to touch up on the Sharpmaker. Man, you are getting a LOT for a LITTLE (comparatively speaking).

If you are one of the holdouts that can't stomach the made in Taiwan etch, get over it. Try one of these. We won't tell. And they're not gonna last long on the market. When they're gone, they're gonna be gone in favor of other Sage runs. This titan framelock will only be available from forward thinking sellers that decided to stock up while the gettin was good. Don't be a victim. Get one NOW!!

One thing I would add... The Sage II has been "out" for quite a while now. Other models have been released with all the predictable fanfare and attention. Yet the Sage II never loses it's popularity. It is being talked about, nay RAVED about all over the place. That's staying power. If you buy one of these and don't like it (highly unlikely), put it in a drawer. Wait for the market to run dry then sell it or trade it. You simply cannot lose.

Very well stated Harry Callahan!

Thanks for the compliment Drudge.:)

So much quality.

So little money.

Sage 2 FTW.

(Went to SFO the other day to get the Sage 1, "We're out.", he says. "Expletive!", I says.)

Got my Sage II yesterday and it just might push my Sage I out of the preferred daily rotation! I wasn't sure about the II until I got to handle it at Blade and even then I had some reservations, like..."do I really need a Ti version of my favorite EDC?" Well I couldn't answer the question so I bought one to find out. Answer is: "yes I do!"

I agree, as much as the Sage 1 is a fine folder in all respects, the Sage 2 is just a different animal in a better way for me. The sum of its parts are perfectly in synch. The smooth feel along with the perfect ergos (for me) make for a secure grip with a refined feel and the simple open construction all rolled into a fantastic size for EDC makes it hard to surpass without spending much more money than you paid for the Sage 2.

I agree. The Sage2 is a incredible knife and IMO a masterpiece of production knife making. I wish they would make one with some kind of inlays.

Just picked up one of these as well on Saturday. God damn is it a nice knife. Compliments my equally awesome Sage 1 quite well.

Only thing I'm not too fond of is that the pocket clip doesn't have as much tension as the sage 1. That's probably due to the fact that CF is a higher friction material than titanium. Have to be a bit careful not to hyper-extend the framelock.
