The Spyderco Sage series of knives are great. As tribute knives, the mechanisms are obviously the best designs, but Spyderco made them with the skill and quality that would make these designers proud. I was so blown away by the quality, that I bought them all. :D

Check out the F&F on Sage 4. Custom makers would be jealous.

Who else likes them? I will be getting them all!

I really dig them. Great pocket friendly designs that pay homage to lock revolutionaries, hence the Sage title. I have a Sage 1 and wouldnt mind getting my hands on a Sage 2

Love the Sages. No smurf?
When I saw the CF with it's great pattern, I just could not resist. That was the first one I ordered. It was a nostalgia thing. I had the original Gerber bolt action, and loved it. This spyderco version is even better. The Blue G-10 just didn't sing to me.

As I posted to Ramzar's very similar recent thread, you seem to have skipped the new fatter, wider, flipper model Sage, er, the Domino:

;)

And yes, I know they're a smidge different here and there in shape. Still feels like a chunkier flipper Sage to me, though.

The original Sage that was at the top of my list, the Sage 2, is on its way to me. Afraid it might kick the Sage 1 out of my pocket for a long time.

I like nice wood scales on knives much like the Barman Domino that was sold today (and hard for me to resist). Looking at the Sage 4, I think the scales would be more attractive if the wood stopped closer to the pivot and there was less titanium. Say if the pivot was in the center with equal distance of titanium on both sides. I know this would put the transition right in the middle of the finger groove/choil, but for my taste I'd probably own it if it were like that.

Thanks. I saw you were looking for one. It was part of the reason I listed it. Went quick.

The Sage 4 is the only of the series I haven't owned yet and at some point I'll grab one. Wood is much more my style.

Yeah if I hadn't pulled the trigger on the Sage 2 yesterday it would've been much harder to resist lol. I wonder if there are any pics out there of the Sage 2 done with a nice wood scale like some of the Dominoes and Southards I've seen.

Here are all 5 in the Sage Series from left to right: Sage 1, Sage 2, Sage 3 (blue G-10), Sage 3 (CF/G-10 laminate) and Sage 4. They all have their own character.

One of the Sages I'm eager to see in the future is the compression lock Sage. Who wants to take a guess on what the scales will be? My first guess is it'll be more a basic G10 maybe like the original Sage 3 but in tan, gray, or foliage. My second guess would be something similar to the new Domino.

With the Blue Weave Carbon Fiber Handle would be nice!

Nice line-up, RamZar! My fav is still the Sage 1:

The Sage-1 is my favorite in the series, because I like its looks the best and the fact it uses a liner lock. I also love the looks of the Sage-4, but it's just to damn heavy for me to handle and/or carry. I don't care for frame-locks, so the Sage-2 never hit my radar.
