Sage Titanium Question

I am about to celebrate my 7 year anniversary:) and my wife has been asking me what I would like. I think I know, Sage in Ti, but I have a couple questions:

1. Being that I want this Sage in Ti, I really would like to have it engraved with something on it, is engraving on these a viable option? I really am not a big fan of the stainless knives and this would be my CRK Sebenza "substitute" knife ("substitute" meaning I don't have one and will probably never afford one). As it will be my most sentimental and best quality knife, I plan on it being my EDC knife for years.

2. If engraving is a good option for a Ti knife, where would be a good place for this? Please keep in mind, this is something I plan on using daily for years and eventually passing down to my children/grand-children... I want it done well. I live in Athens, TN... an hour south of Knoxville and an hour north of Chattanooga. E-businesses would probably be fine as well.

Thanks in advance for your input and advice, Buck

I haven't had a Sage Ti engraved but did have a Ti spy capsule engraved. I used a local jewelry store and it came out fine. BTW I have had SS knives engraved in jewelry stores and that came out nicely.

Sure it can be engraved. As for who, it depends on what you want engraved, and how you want it done. Spyderco does laser engraving. Mall shops like Things Remembers, and trophy shops can do lettering and simple designs. As noted, jewelers are another option. At the other end of the spectrum there's hand engraving by a Master Engraver, which while beautiful, can wind up costing several times more than the knife depending on the artist and the amount and complexity of the design.
