Hey guys,

Looking for some ideas on what to put in the small pouch of the Sagewood Gear sheaths. Anybody carry one and put stuff in it?

How about the little pocket on the bk9? A multitool fits, any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Seeing how you have a fire steel rod attachment, small amount of fatwood that tin would keep it usable wouldn't it ? .

Where did you get the BK2 handle spacer/liners or did you make them yourself ?

I agree-some sort of tinder to go with the firesteel. I prefer cotton balls soaked in vaseline stored in a pill bottle or baggie, but fatwood works too. Also a striker for the firesteel isn't a bad idea. I would stick a BK13 in the 9's sheath since it's designed to hold one--I always find myself wanting a small blade, but I've never found myself wanting or using a multitool in the wilderness unless I had mechanical devices with me that needed repair (mountain bikes particularly).

I also carry a small sharpener in any sheath that has a pocket. I like the mini DMT's in fine/red, but I've heard the Lansky mini sharpeners (dog bone?) work well too.

Good point on the multitool. I use the DMT stones alot. I might have to check into the mini stones, Thanks!
