What can I carry?
I researched and could not find anything contradictory to state laws as far as knives go, so are 4" bladed or less folders OK in Saint Louis?

I know the laws for MO, prolly gonna just either go the first day with nothing, or cheap stuff I don't mind getting confiscated. Thanks!

I went to the NRA National Convention in Seattle MANY years ago...I opened carried a cocked & locked Colt Combat Commander .45 with no problems...BUT that was MANY years ago. I even met, and talked, with Bill Jordan there.:).

I was at the one last year here in Pittsburgh and was told that I shouldn't carry into the show. This had me a bit confused since it was the NRA convention after all. I had 2 knives, but no guns.

Changed nature of thread slightly, so that I can find info on St. Louis knife laws, not worried too much about the NRA.

Seems like St. Louis, MO purposely makes it vague. Certain areas limit length to 2.5" and define spring assist as "switchblades".
St. Louis City Revised Code Chapter 15.130 Division VIII
DIVISION VIII. WEAPONS

Chapter 15.130
15.130.010 Concealed weapons.

It shall be unlawful for any person to wear under his clothes, or concealed about his person, any pistol or revolver, colt, billy, sling shot, cross knuckles or knuckles of lead, brass or other metal, bowie knife, razor, dirk knife, dirk, dagger or any knife resembling a bowie knife or any other dangerous or deadly weapon, within the city, without written permission from the mayor. Any person who shall violate this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Nothing in this section shall prevent any United States, state, county or city officer, or any member of the city government, from carrying or wearing such weapons as may be necessary in the proper discharge of his duties. (1960 C. 777.010: 1948 C. Ch. 46 § 8.)

Anything over four inches is a no no to carry unless your a collector going to and from a show is my understanding.

I was thinking I would be OK with a manual folder under 4", and a 3.5" bladed multitool. Did I think correctly?

WHERE? Several years ago I carried my just under 4" Spyderco Endura Wave into the Gateway Arch..signage at that time said knives 4" or greater were prohibited. They DID measure the blade length. I believe the ARCH and/or museum in the base may now be a federal facility similar to a park.

Again WHERE..just walking down the street minding your own business with a <4" blade pocket knife in your pocket probably fine. In my opinion knife weapons charges are INCLUDED offenses..you're going to jail for something else and a weapons charged is tacked on..just because you had a >4" knife when arrested.

I carry concealed firearms in MO when visiting family and don't recall seeing advisory signs against in the places I visited.
