I just wanted to post a picture and give a big thank you to a couple fellow members (who asked to remain anonymous) that helped me get a couple of theses harder to find colors of Alox Farmers for a small set I've been trying to get together for my nephew. He was extremely happy to get the last couple that he was wanting. I know it's not a complete set by any means but it is the set he had decided he wanted when I gave him the first so to him it may as well be worth a million dollars. I am always humbled at the kindness our members can show ... especially to put a smile on a child's face.

So thank you for the assist fellas!

Fantastic set, your nephew is going to be thrilled :) The Farmer is a great pattern I think, but the coloured models never seem to be available over here. I did manage to find a magenta Cadet for my niece though! :D :thumbsup:
 
I almost always have a Farmer with me. My nephew had seen me use them many times so I got him one and he got pretty interested in them. He picked out some colors that he would like to have and we set out to find them. I love to see his face when we would find one of his knives, but we had hit a dry spell and I wasn't sure we'd be able to find the last two. But as I see often, another member reached out help and made one young man awfully happy and proud of his SAK collection.

It's a great pattern, and one I usually take hiking with me :) That's a nice way of getting your nephew interested :) I was actually looking for a Sunburnt Orange Alox Cadet when I first found BF! :D :thumbsup:
 
I have several as well, the colors always put a smile on my face. When that new Farmer X dropped, that became my carry/day-bag choice.
