SAK box contents

Hi all: so I bought a tourist on amazon. Got the SAK, and it's the only thing in the box. No manual. No warranty. Anyone bought a new SAK recently? Wondering if this is normal. Box says manuals and warranty are available on the website.

Normal, I think. I got an Alox Cadet last year and there was only the knife in the box.

Normal. Same thing, printed materials are replaced by digital, web based copies. Good cost cutting, really.

Competition is fierce. Pennies must be pinched. On-line printed materials save lots. Too bad for customers who aren't wired in.

Biggest problem with the new "cost saving" packaging is the scratches that nearly EVERY new knife now comes with, especially Black versions. Really messed up, for a collector.

The only brand new SAK I ever bought was a Fieldmaster. It came with the box, the knife, and possibly some plastic wrap. I don't know about the last one.

I miss the " match box" that SAKs used to come in. Not really a fan of the new box or as I call it a " nic-nak" box. But on the other hand, I'm buying a knife not a box.
