Ah, the 58mm SAK's, how do I love thee!!
I think of the little classic as the little pocket knife that can. I can't count the number of things I've actually fixed with it, as sometimes it was the only thing on me, other times I'd look over a job to see what tool to get from my toolbox, and just see I'd need a small Philips driver.
I fixed the broken latch in the Sear's Kenmore clothes drier at the old house in Maryland with it. I saw that the drier door was a sheet metal clamshell with two phillips screws on each side. Unscrewing them with the SD tip, I was able to pry the halts apart. Then the nail file blade was used to lightly pry out the broken spring latch, pop the new one in, and screw the door back together.
I've taken the battery out of a Vespa GT200 so to charge up the battery. The SD tip also felt with the screws on the battery terminals holding the battery cables.
Visiting an aged aunt in Clearwater Florida many years ago, I replaced a defective door knob, and fixed another one with just the little classic that made the trip in checked luggage.
The tweezers helped me get a deep thorn out from down between our welsh corgi's paw pads on a woods outing. The little tweezers could reach down in between to get to the sticker between the pads. Pearl The Wonder Corgi was grateful.
