How do you carry a SAK suspended in your pocket?I'm looking for a way of keeping it in my pocket, but off the bottom of my pocket.(huntsman)
There's enough stuff down there as it is. :)
Any info, pics or links would be appreciated.

they sell an after-market-clip with adhesive that's been out for awhile (couple years) that they say works really good! felinevet carries it (of a few) ;)

I've also bought a few retractable belt clips (like a small tape measurer with wire instead of tape with a metal loop-clip at the end) that would work.

I just use a length of paracord with a small McGizmo clip on the end. I attach it to my belt or beltloop with a larkshead knot, clip to the lanyard ring on the SAK, and drop it in my pocket. It keeps the knife vertical and out of the bottom of my pocket. Works like a charm and it doesn't add an uncomfortable clip to the knife itself.

It's called the Nite Ize Eclipse. Amazon carries them. I have one on a OHT and it works quite well. I've had one on my cell phone for about a year. No problems.

I just use a "dangle cord" with the knot looped under my belt and the knife hanging in my pocket OR the leather pouches I've made to fit knife on my belt. I think Vic still makes either a leather or a balistic cloth pouch to fit most of their models. Check with Felinevet or Rotokid on SOSAK. Another option would be a "lobster claw" attached to a cord on your belt and clipped to the keyring of the knife.
Peace

It is tricky anytime you are dealing with small pinned together folders and I don't like doing it but it can be done if the scales are capable of being threaded. There are a lot of obstacles though. Hidden brass pins under the scales, burrs forming from the drilling or threading or both that can interfere with action and rotation of the blades, at least for a time until it works in, and of course warranty being voided to name a few.

I have the Eclipse on my OHT. But, I think what your talking about is dangling it inline with your pocket seam. I do this with my farmer and it works great you don't even know its there. I used a clip off of one of those micro lights that you carry on your keys. It's basically a long metal clip that I hooked onto the splitring on the end of the knife. Then I just hang of on my pocket. Using the clip also allows me to make up for one of the only faults I have with the farmer, the lack of tweezers. I attached a pair of sliver buster tweezers. I have seen some nice aftermarket clips for this but this way worked for me because I already had one around the house.

i was using cheap carabiners but going through them too often. recently I bought a niteize s-biner which is very sturdy and only time will tell but I have a good feeling about it.

Great replies guys,thanks.
I am indeed looking to hang it inside along the seam & off the bottom of my pocket.
I hate wearing a belt & only do when camping,so I think I'll go with a couple of S biners & paracord or county comm's tether cord.
I already have a few sizes of S biners & plenty of cordage.
Thanks again everybody & sorry STR,a clip I don't need.
I did reccommend you to a friend that needs a deep carry clip though. :)

I use a carabiner, clipped to a belt loop and the keyring of the knife. Hangs it just 2" or so out of my pocket, and since there's no concealed carry allowed, this is perfectly legal.

I EDC a super tinker 90% of the time and I use a Venture Klip and I really like it:

On my next SAK, I think I'll try wire edge's suggestion. I like how you can easily pull the knife out of your pocket then unclip it and use the knife without anything dangling from it.

OK,here's what I came up with, the huntsman hangs off the bottom of my pocket & along the back seam perfectly.
#1 S biner on the knife side & a #2 for the belt loop with county comm tether cord.

I like those clips jcv,an S biner would work on one of them also.
I think I'll make a couple.

If you just want to keep it vertical in your pocket but don't want clips on belt loops you could always tie a paracord loop to it. End it with a lanyard knot and just pull it up through your belt so the knot lock just above your belt, so it will just need to be pulled into action. I will tie one up real quick to show you what I mean. ZT0301 much heavier than any SAK. Held it up really well and if you are just wanting to keep it upright and at the ready this should work really well.

No moving parts,I like it. ;)
But really, thats a nice simple solution,I'll give it a try.
Thanks.

After I thought about it I began to carry my 4in craftsman adjustable wrench in this manor. It has worked like a champ so far. Keeps me from sitting on it and all I have to do is pull the string and bang there it is.
