I thought it was a Huntsman!

I bought this one about 5 years ago from a store, and I remember believing I'd just purchased a Huntsman, as the tag under it said so. While checking out the Vic. site last night I noticed the Fieldmaster, which is identical to the Huntsman except for the cork screw being substituted for a phillips. At this point it seemed like I actually got the Fieldmaster. Then upon closer inspection of mine I realized that it was identical to the Fieldmaster except mine has pliers! Can't find this model anywhere on the site. Maybe an original Fieldmaster before deciding to lose the pliers? Not unlike the Electritian Plus that had a saw, then later discontinued?
Any knowledge, insight or guesses? Just curious.

Are you showing all the tools in that photo? Because the tools in the top would make it a Troubleshooter, but it seems that you have a fine screw driver on the backside which aren't supposed to be on the Troubleshooter. If you have a wood saw on the top side that you are not showing (you are showing a metal saw which is not on the Huntsman), then its a Craftsman.

Nice catch Thales, the saw must've popped back in when I wasn't looking. I've replaced the photo to show the saw.
Yes it's a Craftsman then, just saw it on their site after all. Thanks!

I don't see a metal saw blade. I do see a large Manicure blade.

The file is also know as a metal saw in factory literature....manicure files on Vics are thin, one sided and about an inch long.

Thanks for that SAK. I cannot see the teeth in the picture but they must be present so must be very small teeth.

Thanks for starting this interesting thread, Brian.:thumbup:
I enjoy these threads in which someone has a "personal mystery" and posts it in the hope of getting it solved by the collective wisdom on The Porch. And that hope is almost always realized!!:cool::D
(I probably enjoy this kind of thread because I'm usually as baffled as the OP and then have a chance to increase my own knowledge as the hints, opinions, and solutions roll in! :p)

Thanks GT, I appreciate that, and quite agree. I'm always learning something here from the wealth of knowledge that friendly porch dwellers like yourself bring forth, often causing me to feel like a humble student.:)
