Last week I emailed Victorinox about possibly repairing my bent corkscrew on my Swisschamp. I haven't heard back yet. This is the first time I've ever needed to call customer service on any knife I've ever had, so what is the normal amount of time before they get back to me? I sure would like to have this one fixed.

I've never had to deal with Vic's CS, but from what I've heard, service is excellent. Turn around times can take a while from Switzerland. Victorinox processes huge amounts of knives on a daily basis from all over the world.

They are really slow(at least the Canadian warranty office) but they will do right by you eventually.

Victorinox is my favorite manufacturer, but I can't agree with the yobbos1 unfortunately :( The several times I've contacted them, they never got back to me at all (via e-mail). I just took a survey on SwissArmy.dom and reccommended better CS, I advise more of you to do the same.

I have never contacted them by e-mail, but they quickly replaced a SwissTool I sent to their US warranty office. I think it was something like 10 days total, including mail time both directions. They sent me a brand new tool to replace one that had a cracked main blade. Maybe the best thing is just send the item in.

I'll second that ,worked for me here in the UK , sent mine into Burton McCall the UK importers and they sent me a new one within a week .
Just send it in .

Right now, with the hurricane comming, I really don't want to do without it. I'll send it once things clear up. What about payment for return shipping? Should I put a blank check in it or what? Sorry if I sound neive, I've never had to do anything like this before.
