After much fruitless searching, I thought I would ask here. Does anyone know the location of a good tutorial on how to disassemble, then re-assemble a Swiss Army knife. I'm talking about taking it down to the individual tools. Thanks a bunch for any info, and God bless!

Go to sosakonline.com, look for the mods section. There is an article by Spork60 on making a "Canadian Explorer" that explains (and illustrates) the process very clearly.

Modding SAKs can be challenging, but fun.

Thanks Mike L! I found a bit on the SOSAK website. The thing not really clear to me is, are there little collar like pieces that go around the brass rods holding the knife together?

Also, if I were to just tighten up an old knife, could I just remove the scales and re-peen/upset the rivets, making the knife tighter?
