Hey guys need your input,I took apart my SAK drilled the pins out backspring /pivot (3 total) and I am thinking they are stainless but not sure does anyone have any ideas?or do you think it would be okay to replace them with brass? am going to try to put a pocket clip in the anodized aluminum scale,Thinking about riveting these also, not sure if tapping the screws in aluminum would last. thanks guys

I'm fairly certain that all the pins used on the current Alox models are Nickel silver. I have a 1970 issued soldier knife, and it has 2 pins made of nickel silver, and a hollow rivet made of stainless.

When I was drilling the pins out it does look like nickel silver ,plus they drilled out easily ,the hardest part was keeping the drill hole centered which I thought was actually going to be the easiest part,I guess I just can't imagine SAK using nickel silver on their knives.Wonder if this has changed in the newer models ,Keep em coming guys, thanks Ryan
