SAK hook question ... ?

I have 5 SAKs, but I just bought my first one with the hook a month ago. It's the Vic Compact.

Used the hook the first time today, I noticed that I bent it past the 90 degree open stop. I didn't know it could go there. Still closes and work fine. Is this normal for the hook to be able to open past 90 degrees?

Based on the small number of SAKs I have with hooks, it's normal for the hook to open beyond 90 degrees, to about 120-135 degrees.

yup, thats what it does! I think its to help when you are carrying something with it, it lets the handle sit in whatever position is neutral for your hand.

I bought a filedmaster. My first SAK with the hook and i was surprised too but it definitely seems normal to me.
