This SAK and light combo is gaining pocket time in my world but I don't know enough to identify the model.
I picked it up last year at a street market in Amsterdam.

That used to be the model of SAK issued to the Dutch Army before they switched to the Centurion model.

Its the Soldier model.

Yes. The 91 is probably the yr it was issued.
I suggest you keep that SAK for your collection since its the older version of the Soldier model. You dont see alot of those around.

Here's how the newer Soldiers look like

Does the KL 91 marking designate the Dutch Army?

The KL stands for Koninklijke Landmacht or Royal Army and the 91 is the year of manufacture .

Dunc

Why would they have discontinued the end ring feature, it seems to be so handy?
The camera is not to blame for the poor quality shot, I am.

The street market was at Waterlooplein and the seller had two large baskets of SAKs divided between large and small models. 5 euro for a small and 8 for a large.
I remember Soldiers with diferent markings which might have been for other countries.

The build is more like a Pioneer than a Soldier- on the former, the keyring is retained while there isn't any on the latter.
