I recently purchased a SAK Adventurer with the locking blade. It seems fairly solid, but has anyone "tested" the lock? No, I'm not going to beat mine up but some experiences with these would be helpful. Thanks!

I have tested one of those myself and can testify that they are indeed solid. Now, let's not get crazy and say it can pass a Cold Steel torture test. However, for it's application, and the knifes, it will definitely protect your digits. I personally own a very old Wenger model that has a variation of a rocker bar lock that is disengaged via a button that says "push". It is really kind of cool, the unlocking mechanism lays right beside the rest of the tools. I think you have a winner here, but then again, I'm a real softy for any SAK. Thanks :D

As with any FOLDING knife the lock will keep the blade open when used
within the design limits. The key here is "folding" I've never heard of a folding
pry bar or spear. So be mindful of the knifes design and you'll be ok. Enjoy........
