I love my Victorinox Swiss Champ, but it is a bit wide.
There are some tools I won't ever use (fish scaler) and I was wondering if there was anybody who mods these knives.
Ideally, I'd like to have the knife one layer thinner; that would make a substantial difference in carryability.
So, do you think it's possible to remove a tool/layer from the Swiss Champ?
Who would you recommend to do it?
Thank you

In all honesty it would be easier and way cheaper to just pick up a handyman. Pretty much the same toolset, no scaler.

Nope.
Two tools I've learned to love are the inline Phillips screwdriver and the Magnifying Glass.
Both indispensible to me.

I understand completely. Carry a champ daily myself, and while I don't use it to scale fish I've found the ruler handy on many occasions. Spikediesel Spikediesel is our most prolific resident modder.

Um, OK, I'm an idiot. I think i opened the Fish Scaler once since I purchase the knife.
I honestly didn't know it had a ruler on it.
Now I kinda like it. 🤣
But I could live without the blades.
I always carry a one hand opener with the Swiss Champ

I have three of Spikediesel Spikediesel modified SAK knives and they are great!!! Most of the other main modders are in Europe. The North American ones usually do drops or have specific models and don’t take specific requests.
