I EDC a folder or balisong in my right pocket, and a Leatherman Micra as a keyring in my left. But I'd like something with more functionality. And, to placate the ignorant sheeple, something more PC (for some reason, a 3" balisong is an evil "weapon", but a 3" SAK is a handy "tool").

However, I cannot find one with the features I want. I'm not talking about corkscrews and handle/hooks, I'm talking about 2 things that seem to be mutally exclusive.

Pocket clips and locking blades.

Leatherman has a couple models with pocket clips, but these don't have locking blades. I have a Wave, but it's too damn bulky to EDC (especially with keys attached).

There's many SAK models (both Wenger and Victorinox) with locking blades, but none with pocket clips.

A PSTII-sized multi would be just about right, and just about any full-framed SAK would be too. The Supertool/Wave size is too large for my desires.

I don't need all the tools to lock (although that'd be nice), but I refuse to carry a knife with a blade that doesn't lock.

I'm posting this in hopes that there's something that I've overlooked or missed in my search.

And no, I don't want to sheath carry. I don't like belts, don't wear them, and I don't like sheaths, belt or not (no offence to those who do, but I feel like a hick wearing a sheath). And I need something with a clip because I don't like having a knife loose in my pocket. I ride a bike everywhere, and things in my pockets have a tendency to find the most uncomfortable place to rest.

Thanks.

maybe the Spyderco Spyderench is for you, although the sheeple may find it looking like a evil weapon from hell as well.....? :-)

I don't think there is a current multitool that fits your needs. But you could attach a pocket clip to a Leatherman Pulse. It is pretty slim and all of the tools lock. A long time ago I saw a thread where someone did this but I don't remember the title of the thread or what it was about specifically.

Buck has a tool with a built in side clip and gives you basic pliers w/cutter and an assortment of screwdrivers plus two knife blades in a fairly small package that will slip in your pocket or on a belt. It is kind of a wierd oppener but all the tools lock.

My one handed Trailmaster has a pocket clip....it took me about 10 minutes to add it and it works very nicely. I stole the clip and screwsfrom my mini AFCK... If they don't sell what you need, you have to make your own...
