SAK One Hand Trekker-blade overtravel

I recently purchased a One Hand Trekker. Just the other day I noticed that there was a nick in the blade. I didn't remember seeing it when I got it in the mail so I investigated further and discovered that the blade makes contact with the cross bar inside the knife when it's closed. It probably only does it when the blade is pushed hard into the knife, but still seems like there should be something that prevents the knife blade from over travel like this.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I know that Victorinox will fix it, I've sent in a knife for repair before and they are very good at this. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has any comments on it.

Thanks
Todd

Do you mean it hits the "PINS?" and if it is, end or center pin? and is yours PE or Combo? could you show a picture?

I have a combo one and I have no problems at all. The stop prevents the blade from hitting the pins in mine, nor is the blade bent and hitting the center liner. I'd recommend sending it in for repair or replacement.

Good Luck and sorry to hear.

I never noticed that on any of my 111mm but with every one of the 91mm and 93mm alox knives I've ever had (over 30), if I let the main blade slam shut some part on the end of the blade would smack the liners causing the edge to roll slightly. At first I would grind down the liners with the cutting wheel on a dremel then I just got sick of that and simply close the knife without letting it snap shut.
