The Plus models of certain SAKs now offered are great. They add functionality without adding size. Im talking about the pen and pin and mini screwdriver(for cork models of course). Of course Victorinox only offers these on select models, none of which I like.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to special order other models with the plus options, but this is probably impossible. I was also thinking of doing minor mods and would like to know the pen length, although I dont think it can be swapped directly with the tweezers or pick. As well photos of where the pen and pin go in the scales would be nice.

You can simply purchase replacement Plus scales as well as the parts you wish for (pen, etc) from RotoKid tom@sosakonline.com. I just purchased a couple of sets of ruby Plus scales from him - $7.50 a set, I think - and he shipped them right away.

Yes, he has just about all the standard Vic replacement scales, I believe. He also sells an amazing array of cusom mod supplies. He also sells inexpensive Kevlar gloves that really help prevent cuts when I'm cleaning and refurbishing used SAKs.
