Can anyone who owns them tell me if the saw blade on the Victorinox Rucksak or Trailmaster lock also or just the main blade?

Thanks

The saw blade does not lock, but I've used both knives extensively and have never had the saw fold up on me...not even close...

Noit doesn't.
Only the blade locks by using the button on the side. You can buy some SAKs made by Victorinox that also have a locking screwdriver.Hope this helps.

I don't think you can -

It's Wenger (the other official SAK) that has locking screwdrivers.

I seems to me that one of the Victorinox models does have a locking saw. Don't remember which, though, so I'm going to have to do a little research. If I find it, I'll post a link.

Edited after some quick research to add that I was wrong about the locking saw. I was thinking of the Nomad model, which has a locking screwdriver. Sorry for the mis - information!

I just got a new Victorinox Trailmaster and it has a large locking blade and a locking screwdriver on the other end. I have never seen one with a locking saw.

Thanks folks, I have often wondered why they have never added this feature, although I admit i have a 12 year old SwissChamp, that the saw blade has never folded up during use either, so maybe it isn't needed. I am looking for the best option for a B.O.B. (Bug Out Bag), and the Trailmaster makes a great candidate.

The Victorinox Locksmith has a locking screwdriver.

to both Mike and Dean for that -

I was not aware that Victorinox had locking screwdrivers -

Can you please tell me how the screwdrivers lock?

I didn't like the Wenger method of locking where downward pressure would move the screwdriver blade further into the handle locking it.

Thanks guys :) :)

In my Victorinox the spacer between the main blade and the screwdriver is stainless steel and has bent extensions on both ends that lock both the blade and the screwdriver in the manner of a locking liner (a left handed locking liner). I believe Kershaw uses a similar system in their two locking traditional folders.

Edited to add:

Mine is the Trailmaster, The Locksmith is similar but adds a file, there is a new Trailmaster with one hand opening hole and serrated blade.
