So I am just curious. I have a few saks already (classic, tinker and a wenger serrated highlander)

but i was curious, does victorinox (or wenger) make a 2 layer sak with a saw blade on it? I know there are a few 3 layers with a saw (farmer, hiker etc) But i prefer the 2 layer saks for ease of carry.

thanks in advance

There is a discontinued model called the Lumberjack. There is a specialty SAK maker named SwissBianco who might have some for sale, not just with theplastic scales, but Alox, too.

The Victorinox model called "My First Victorinox is two layer, has a saw, but a blunted point. It should still be available.

Wenger made a two layer SAK with a blade and a saw: the Wenger Century with Woodsaw. But this is a model from the Ranger-series and they're big.

Victorinox 93mm Alox Woodsman has main blade and saw, but it is discontinued and pretty rare. Swissbianco Bushcrafter has main blade, awl, and saw (it's the Farmer minus the opener layer).

They're discontinued, but if you can find one, the Victorinox Safari Pathfinder is a great option too.

+1 on the Swissbianco Bushcrafter. It's a 93mm alox. I love mine. They are made for Swissbianco by Victorinox. They should be getting more in stock soon. You can sign up for his newsletter at Swissbianco.com.

The "old" GAK (German Army Knife) was a 2-layer with a saw. But I think, it hasn´t been produced any longer. Perhaps you can find some in the internet. Some used ones may be in the orbit of the internet...
