SAK ring on the wrong side?

I wonder if anyone has felt that the ring seems to be on the wrong side?
By wrong side, I mean that it should be on the opposite end, such that it is above the Swiss cross logo. This seems to be natural place for it such that when clipped/hung in a pocket it comes out upright. I'm nitpicking I know, but it has left me wondering why Victorinox has put the ring on that side (or didn't just flip the logo)?

Anyone knows? (Guesses and opinions are welcomed too)

I had never thought of that. I can totally see how that would help with using the main blade, especially if one uses lanyards or fobs (I don't). Thanks.

It's only on the wrong end of the Executive and Classic, etc. It should be on the opposite end as the main blade when opened. Real annoying trying to use a fob and cut with the main blade. Funny how the Manager and Minichamp have it right.

I feel the opposite. Since I’ve never kept my Executive (and previously, the Classic) attached to my key ring, I prefer the key ring on the main blade end. I don’t like the main blade opening on the same end with the tweezers and toothpick. I’ve never liked using a knife that’s attached to my keys, especially an SAK, and having the keys hanging off it when I want to use it; IMO, it defeats the whole advantage of carrying a tiny knife.

Edit to add:
I also like the arrangement on the standard-sized models (Spartan, Tinker, and Alox Pioneer), with the key ring attachment on the opposite end from the main blade, because on the cellidor models, the tweezers and toothpick are still away from the main blade.

Well its kind of their thing. Keyring on the wrong side, liner lock on the wrong side, and serrations on the wrong half of the blade;)

I kid. I can take or leave the ring. I can't remember the last time I used it or gave it a second thought.

I do keep my Rambler on my key ring, but it attaches to a tiny carrabiner so I can instantly detach it to use the knife.
