This is not a life or death story, but I just thought I would share it with you.

Today I went on a boat party and people had bought tons of wine, but no one thought to bring a corkscrew. Luckily I had my EDC SAK Sportsman to hand and used it to open many a wine bottle. I also used it to open beer bottles until they found a bottle opener. Needless to say many were impressed with this "useful little tool". I don't often use it open wine but only had problems with one stubborn cork with I eventually removed from the bottle.

There was one guy who turned up with a large fix blade strapped to his leg (upon examination it was cheap junk from China) and opening wine was something my tiny little SAK could do that his knife could not. His eyes were opened to the usefulness of a SAK. The only thing his knife got used for today was cutting bread. ;)

It was an informal party, t-shirt and shorts. People were fishing and he brought his knife along to filet any caught fish, of which there were none that were worth eating. He also told me that he has a load of these knive he he bought as sets from QVC and never had the chance to wear one or use one before.
