SAK saw and blade - inside vs outside - nitpicking?

Comparing 111mm main blade locking SAKs with saw blades. I noticed the saw blade on the Forester is on the outside with the main blade on the inside (center), whereas on the Rucksack it's the reverse, blade on outside, saw in the middle. Do you think it makes any difference functionally or safety-wise either way?

I doubt it. Probably set up as it is to help fit the other tools better. My camper has the center saw and my Bundeswehr model has it to the side of the blade (only 2 layers). No safety differences.

My Bundeswehr OHT has the saw on the side and the blade on the center. That is one of the reasons that made me choose it, since having the blade too far on the side makes it difficult to use (in my opinion). On two/three layers models, I tend to like the blade just in the middle. On my Handyman -which is a 6 layers model - the blade is far far far on the right, but I can live with it since I love to have all those tools available.

My guess it is due to the liner lock mechanism. My Rucksack with the slidelock (identical tools to the Forester) keeps the blade on the outside layer.
