Dunno about Wenger, but I think Victorinox should offer their knives in black also, for starters. No sense in sticking with basic red for most models.

They do. And if you can't find the one you want in black, you can usually buy replacement scales on the big auction site.

Daddyo, I went to their website and found some black scaled models. I think color choices should be available on all models. They will sell more knives, I think.

I agree that scales should be made more widely available. For the Stayglow scales, I had to buy a model off the bay which were probably just slapped on by the seller. I found some plus scales, but had to look hard. I'd like to get some nylon scales, but at $10, they make a frugal knife less appealing. It seems most people have some interest in personalized SAKS, Victorinox should get on the issue and make customers happy.

I have a couple of black vics (Trekker & OHT) and a couple of silver alox vics (Cadet & Farmer) but the red ones are kinda iconic. Nothing says 'Victorinox' like red celidor scales!

I don't know, I sorta like the all red scheme of it. If I keep all my knives with one handle color, then the better half can't tell when I've bought a new knife!:D

Kind of like with Case pocket knives, making all you pocket knives amber bone. What the wifey don't know, won't hurt her!

Carl.
