Been thinking of picking up a solo. just have a quick question if somebody can help me out. Is the blade bent off to the side? Not sure of the term but a slight bend to accomodat an opposing tool on otherside. Or is it straight.

Called "crinking." But I don't know if the Solo blade is "crinked."
 
Thanks for info. i have a pruner. i know i will never use secondary blade. i was thinking of the solo because it might be lighter. in some cloths it feels like i have a piece of a 2x4 in my pocket. I don't want it if it has a crinked blade. I wish they made a large bantam. i open a lot more beers than i would prune trees.
 
Is your issue the weight or that the knife sits horizontal in your pocket? The Solo wont be very much lighter than the pruner. The Pruner is about as light as they get if you are talking about the 1 layer alox version. Definitely not a noticeable weight difference in your pocket. Not sure I understand you wanting a "Larger Bantam" but wan't something lighter than the Pruner. Doesn't make sense to me. Not ragging on you just trying to figure it out and try to help. :thumbup:

I would like a 93mm bantam in alox. have a 84mm in plastic. just a wish,know they don't. make one.

I have both the 84mm Bantam in Alox and Cellidor. There's nice knives. The Alox version is almost too thin. I believe the Alox Solo is 93mm, but I'm unsure of the blade size. I'm trying to find out in my other thread.

You could get a custom made 93mm bantam. Would just use a 93mm blade and scales and add the combo tool. I bet it wouldn't cost you to much either.
 
Capt, have found a couple modders on forum. Might check on that. Thanks for suggetion. Could probably find a donner knife at pawn shop. Also saw today they have alox cadets at target again. Saw silver and black at ours here in destin.

Yea, I noticed the Cadets at Target as well. Only in Black and Silver as you said.
