I heard somewhere that they are identical, and that Victorinox first called it the "Trailmaster" but then had to change to calling it the "Trekker" because of copyright infringement issues with someone else's product.

Umm ok so that clears up the name thing. A local shop has the trekker for sale. I kinda want it but i already have a swisschamp, a huntsman and a recruit, (plus a SOG paratool and leatherman micra and (old)wave). I'm thinking of buying it for EDC. but i don't really want the blade serrated (i have a spyderco for that). Anybody here own the trekker? Any opinions? Anybody mod the blade (get rid of the serrations?)
Thanks for the link! Cool site and I just registered at SOSAK too.You can now buy a plain edge One handed Trekker( have a word with SwissBianco over at SOSAK ) . Failing that here is an article on how to remove the serrations http://www.sosakonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=35
