SAK Trekker

I have the Bundeswehr OHT and love it. I too was apprehensive due to the serrations - not anymore. SAK's serrations are perfect IMHO - not too aggressive. Also, the saw is much more usable than I expected. I carried it last hunting season and camping. The serrations go through saplings like a hot knife through butter. I sharpen it on a Sharpmarker. Also, if you don't like the serrations you can file them off or sharpen as a PE blade and eventually they will wear away. Currently it is my my survival bag with a Mora Clipper. These are a great bargain.

Great knife for the price. I removed the serrations on mine. The lock is not particularly special. Some added security, but you should treat it more like the slip joint it is.

Plenty of people making mods for them too. I had mine rehandled in Orange G-10 with a clip too.

I don't see much point in a one-hand opening SAK unless you are in the fire department or police. I have been carrying the Adventurer of late which is essentially a Tinker with a longer blade. It has the slide lock button. SAK serrations are okay; not too aggressive.
