I was in Edmonton for my wife's appointment with an endodentist. I dropped her off and parked the car across the street. I walked up to the parking ticket machine, and dropped four dollars into it. The coins didn't drop. They were stuck.
The coin return did not work.
I pulled out my blue-handled SAK Climber, thought for a moment, and then opened up the main blade. I poked it into the coin slot, and used it to maneouvre the coins into position so that they could drop.
A man walked up behind me. He asked if I had gotten the machine unstuck. He told me that he had also dropped four dollars into it. I showed him my little knife, and pulled the coins out of the bottom of the machine. I split the money into two piles and offered him one, suggesting that he use it to buy himself a SAK.
That $30 SAK made $14 that day.
