Can sombody check their Solders and see if they have a true blade. I bought my Son who lives in Boston a solder at Christmans. He came home for a week to visit so I was checking out his Solder and I said what are you doing to your SAK.

Anyway, Frys electronics has'em for 15 bucks so I bought a couple more. Both have blades with the same type of twist/warping like a gun barrel. Its got kind of a helicoil twist to it??

The "warping" is intentional. It is done so all the blades/tools nest together in the handle.

Thanks, It does seem consistant from Solder to Solder.

BTW, my Swisstools blade is 100% true.

Paul is correct - I have answered this over at SOSAK already -
but for others, this is an interesting thread, from some months ago, in the Blade Discussion Forum -

Twisted SAK blades?

It's more than just the Soldier and other 93mm Alox SAKs - most the SAKs have twisted or "crinked" (to use the correct knife terminology) main knife blades to fit in with the other tools (the crinking may be less - but nevertheless there if looked for. The SwissTools may be the exception since they do not have overlapping tools on the same backspring).
