Here's a simple quick question...

My SAK Climber has tweezers and a toothpick. I think I can live without the toothpick; can you buy relacement SAk pens, and will they fit where the toothpick goes, or are they a different shape.

I've already bought the screwdriver that goes in the corkscrew to make the Climber more complete. DOn't know why they don't all come with a screwdriver myself!

As far as I know, only SAK's designed to hold pens, can do so. You can't put a SAK pen in tweezer/toothpick hole. They are a different shape. Current SAK's such as the Manager, Compact, Scribe, Signature, Swisschamp and others have a pen. The smaller ones such as the Signature maybe an answer for you or a swisscard ?

Hope this helps.

You need to replace your scales with ones with a pen slot. Go to http://www.pizzini.at/ and look at the SAK spare parts section.

Our Frank is correct (as usual) - you really only need to replace the off-side scale (the opposite one to the shield/logo side). That scale will probably also accept a straight Pin stored by the pivot of the corkscrew (clever, huh?) -

The pen was the reason why I mentioned the Victorinox Compact model in our conversation in Minimalist SAKs

Dang...I didn't realize that the scales of the Victorinox SAKs can be user-replaced.

I guess I'm NOT too old to learn new things.:D.

actually thinking about it, in the USA one can just contact Swiss Army Brands the official US importers (now part of Victorinox) for spare parts:

Q. Must I send my knife in to have the scales, toothpick, tweezer, and scissor spring replaced?
A. No, you can purchase all of these right here. To learn how to replace scales and scissor springs, contact our consumer service department at 1.800.442.2706. -SA

For the Climber this would be a 91mm scale (color) with slot for ballpoint pen.
