Hi Everyone,

I was trying to think of all the Victorinox SAKs that have both the woodsaw and the pliers......

WorkChamp
SwissChamp
Hercules
Craftsman (?)

What others have that combo?

You can plug in those parameters in the SAK selector at sosakonline.com and it will tell you.

Add 111mm Tradesman to the list.
But, if you want better pliers, Wenger's New Rangers is the place to look.

No problem. :) It used to be pretty poor TBH (didn't list any 84mm and not all the 111mm) but Vic seem to have just updated it and it's far more comprehensive.

SAK pliers are more forceps than pliers . Great for small stuff , but don't overdo it .

Oh I know. Just kinda of building my "wishlist" for my collection. :) That and years ago, back when we we're eating dino's for lunch, I had a daypack that broke and a SAK with pliers came in really handy fixing it.

I really recommend the swisschamp. I LOVE mine. I have had both the older and newer version, and in my opinion the older version is better. The new one has a plastic (easily scratched and not as powerful) magnifying glass, the phillips screwdriver is stumpy and feels like it's grinding. The older one has a longer, smoother phillips and an all glass powerful magnifier. If you can, choose a color other than the normal red to ensure it's an older one, if that's what you want.

I think the thinest ones with saw and pliers are the Handyman or Craftsman. Only difference is Handyman has a corkscrew instead of the Craftsman's philips driver. I have the Handyman, cause I can use the small, flat screwdriver on the can opener on many philips heads. Plus I also get a corkscrew and can put the mini eyeglass screwdriver within it. Its six layers thick compared to eight for the Swisschamp. Its noticably easier to grip, but you lose the fishscaler/ruler layer and the magnifying glass/philips screwdriver layer.
