I remember when I was a Kid. I got a SAK that was a really nice one and it came in a nice box. I used it in cub, boy and eagle scouts.

I now want to get my nephew a Knife and I want one that comes in one of those nice boxes. Instead of plastic packaging like a claim pack or something like that.

I just think it will make his 1st knife more special.

so which ones come in a nice box.

From what I've seen, almost any knife made by Victorinox comes in a box. Out of the 50 or so SAK's I have, most came in a box. I've only bought three or four SAK's that came in a clamshell, and those were from retail chains such as Target, Walmart, Sears, etc.

I've seen the Vic-in-a-boxes at Sears, in the Travel/engraving section, in the display case along with the zippos and stuff.

I relaly dont have many places in NYC to buy there, or I just dont know any.

The Clamshell really sucks

OK, just call up the nice folks at any online knife store worth their salt.
1SKS comes to mind, their prices are about as good as any and you will help support the forums. Have a look at which knife you want first, and ask the person you speak to if it comes in a box. At most online sites that I deal with, hte person on the other end of the line knows what they are doing. And if they don't, it didn't cost you anything.
